The Split gets yet another make-over!

The Split Rocks from Rocksville

For most of us, Villagers and tourists alike, The Split can be the heartbeat of the island and when it get’s a make-over, it makes our day!
Together with the Owner of the property, Immer, the Manager of the Lazy Lizard Bar is once again adding to the areas beauty. Truckloads of rocks, brought by the barges all they way from Rockville (original name huh!!) in Belize, will be re-enforcing the pimento wall that he has created some months ago. The rocks are designed to stem the force of the waves when Tropical Storms or worse Hurricanes reach our shores. The original need was therefore a physical presence to protect the split.
However, the natural sand color rocks are a perfect and natural way of hiding the wall behind it and, once in place, will balance beautifully with sandy beach. Once the work has been completed, we will post some pictures for your approval!
